Keep His Commandments and His Statues…
If our mind is filled with “stinkin’ thinkin'” then will our heart not begin to harden and darken? Is it not in our mind where sin begins?
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. ~ Matthew 5:27-28 KJB
Motives – our motives begin in our mind and either fill our heart with joy and good works or begins to harden and darken it. There is no standing still in life we are either moving towards God or we are turning away from God. The four absolutes is how we can do a quick “diagnosis” of our motives…ask ourselves, in order, are my thoughts / actions absolutely honest, absolutely unselfish, absolute love and absolute purity. If we can make it past absolute honesty, we have something to work with.

When we look back in the Torah we find the same thing in a different manner. The essence of the teaching are just as pure as what Jesus Christ would teach the world some two-thousand years later.
See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; in that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. ~ Deuteronomy 30:15-18 KJB
Love is what fills our heart. Keeping the Lords commandments and walking in His statues and judgements keep us on the straight and narrow path. While this is happening is it possible for our mind to wander and see people and situations falsely?
Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
